Salicylic acid (BHA): Salicylic Acid is a BHA naturally synthesized by certain plants such as the willow. It is a keratolytic agent that helps eliminate dead cells by breaking bonds between horny layer cells in the epidermis and by causing these cells to be superficially exfoliated without leaving cell waste. The skin is smoother and softer. It also has purifying properties to smooth blemishes and combat blackheads, ingrown hairs and dandruff as well as antioxidant properties to protect the skin from harsh external factors.
Citric acid, Lactic acid, Glycolic acid (AHAs): Alpha Hydroxy Acids are a category of acids derived from fruit sugar or milk. They stimulate the desquamation process of the corneocytes, which are found at the surface of the stratum corneum, and stimulate cellular renewal. In relatively low concentrations, Alpha Hydroxy Acids are recognized for having moisturizing effects on the skin as they stimulate the production of amino acids during the corneocyte desquamation phase. In higher concentrations, they have keratolytic effects and help exfoliate and smooth the skin.
Royal jelly: Royal jelly is secreted by nurse bees to feed the larvae within the colony. It is rich in nutrients (sugars, amino acids, vitamins and minerals), giving it outstanding revitalizing and replenishing properties. As a result, it promotes cellular renewal and the synthesis of collagen to preserve the firmness of the tissue.
Cypress essential oil: The cypress is an evergreen tree with needles and essential oil is extracted from the branches using steam distillation. Rich in alpha-pinene and delta 3-carene, it decongests the lymphatic and venous systems. In this way, it helps improve blood and lymph circulation to address problems related to poor circulation such as cellulite, water retention and varicose veins.
Lemon extract: With its high concentration of vitamin C and flavonoids, lemon extract has antioxidant, antiseptic and astringent properties. This enables it to purify skin and remove impurities. It is also an anti-inflammatory that acts on microcirculation to protect the most sensitive skin.
Silk extract: Silk is a protein made up of a polymer of glycoprotein. Silk proteins form a film on the surface of the skin upon application, which results in an immediate smoothing effect. It also has skin moisturizing, firming and softening properties.
Complex made from Hyaluronic Acid and Rhizobium: This complex consists of hyaluronic acid, a natural constituent of the dermis, and gel produced by rhizobium, a symbiotic bacterium in sunflowers. With its high molecular weight (>1 Mda), hyaluronic acid remains on the surface of the skin to enhance its barrier function against harsh external factors, and to keep water in the superficial layers of the epidermis. Combined with rhizobium gel, this complex helps create a supple and flexible protective film on the surface of the skin, which regulates perspiration. In addition, it acts as a water reservoir, restoring the skin’s water requirements to regulate its hydration and guarantee its structural integrity.
Cottonseed oil: Cotton oil is extracted from the seeds of thecotton plant. Naturally rich in omega 6 and 9, it has emollient properties and limits transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Thus, it helps maintaining the integrity of the skin. Its Vitamin E content also helps protecting the skin from premature skin aging.
Argan oil: Argan oil is an extract from the fruit of the argan, a tree that mainly grows in southwestern Morocco. Rich in omega 6 and omega 9, it helps fight signs of skin aging by activating cell regeneration.
