Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide: Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are mineral filters made of particles of natural origin. They reflect UVA and UVB rays to protect the epidermis from their harmful effects. Unlike chemical filters, mineral filters do not penetrate the skin and do not cause allergic reactions.
Rice Ester: This rice-derived protective ester is a powerful antioxidant: it helps trap photo-induced free radicals that cause premature cutaneous aging. Its anti-inflammatory properties also help soothe skin, protecting it from the harmful effects of the sun.
Sea Lily extract: Sea lily extract is an active ingredient with a lightening effect, owing to its dual action:
– it inhibits the expression of POMC, the precursor protein of α-MSH, which stimulates melanin synthesis
– it inhibits synthesis of substance P receptors on the surface of the dendrites responsible for melanogenesis
It therefore significantly reduces the size and intensity of pigmentation marks.
Hop cone extract: Hop cones are the female flowers from the hop plant. They have been used in phytotherapy since the 7th century for their richness in active ingredients.
This extract acts on both the melanocytes and keratinocytes to help reduce pigmentation disorders such as freckles, lentigines (sun spots or age spots), inflammatory pigmentation and melasma. It regulates pigmentation by acting on the epidermal melanin unit and blocks the transcription of genes involved in melanin synthesis under the influence of solar radiation. Pigmentation disorders are reduced, the complexion is lighter and the skin tone is more even.
Sugar polymer: This sugar polymer is composed of two amino acids—serine and alanine—the unique structure of which facilitates its penetration and action on the deep skin layers. This active ingredient is able to bind to the pigmentation synapse receptors to limit the transfer of melanin to the keratinocytes. It also provides protective action to limit pigmentation spots induced by UV exposure or by pollution.
Anti-pigment complex: This complex is a balanced composition of Zinc PCA, stabilized vitamin C and Oleuropein, which together combat the two pigments responsible for the appearance of pigmentation spots: melanin and lipofuscin.
Stabilized vitamin C prevents the formation of melanin by inhibiting tyrosinase at an early stage. Zinc PCA regulates the vitamin C transporter and facilitates its movement within the skin cells for better melanogenesis inhibition.
Oleuropein, a powerful antioxidant, increases proteasome activity and slows down the formation of lipofuscin. This unique combination helps prevent the formation of pigmentation spots while reducing the intensity and size of already existing spots, leaving the skin tone more even.
