Biopolymer from Marine Microorganisms: This biopolymer is produced by fermenting a bacterium from marine microorganisms. It acts by reducing levels of the Melanocortin 5 receptor, a protein involved in differentiating sebocytes and therefore sebaceous secretion. It therefore reduces sebum build-up to improve the appearance of combination and oily skin. It also induces synthesis of type I collagen, helping minimize pores.
