Le Grand Sérum

Recommended for Skin Instants© showing signs of epidermal ageing.

In the morning and/or evening, apply a few drops of Le Grand Sérum to clean skin on the entire face, neck, and décolleté using slight upward strokes. This product is the final touch in the Biologique Recherche programme.

Note: Due to its rich and concentrated active ingredient composition, LeGrand Sérum may be used alone. However, it may also be applied after the cream recommended for mature skin.

Mimosa Tenuiflora extract: Mimosa Tenuiflora, or “skin tree”, is a shrub from the Fabaceae family. Its bark extract helps stimulate tissue repair. In addition, its ability to regenerate supportive tissue and reactivate cell metabolism, combined with its anti-free radical action, helps combat the signs of cutaneous aging. Its antimicrobial and healing properties protect and repair the skin.

Yeast Extract: Yeast is made up of mineral salts, carbohydrates, lipids and vitamins, giving it many beneficial properties. For example, it is very rich in vitamin B, which enables it to help preserve the skin’s integrity. It has a re-balancing effect (for oily or dry skin or scalp) and promotes the healing of certain skin conditions like acne and hyperseborrhea. In addition, this active ingredient stimulates phagocytosis and the formation of lysosomes in the keratinocytes, thereby providing a detoxifying action at cell level which improves the radiance and transparency of the complexion.

Witch Hazel and St. John’s Wort extracts: Witch Hazel and St John’s Wort leaves contain large amounts of gallic tannins and flavonoids. Their remarkable astringent properties tighten tissues and smooth skin. They are particularly recommended for combination to oily skin. Their anti-inflammatory properties soothe, calm, and revitalize a damaged epidermis.

Peptidic Extract of Hazelnut: This hazelnut extract, rich in peptides, amino acids and sugars (glucose, galactose), has been selected because of its action on cellular renewal, achieved by stimulating the growth of keratinocytes and fibroblasts. The face is resculpted and the skin’s barrier function restored.

Centella Asiatica Extract: Centella Asiatica is a perennial creeping plant native to India, which can also be found in tropical regions. It is rich in asiaticoside and madecassoside, two saponosides that can stimulate fibroblast collagen synthesis. In addition, its antioxidant action helps combat oxidative stress-induced skin aging. Last but not least, it also has healing, soothing, and regenerative properties.

Wasabi Extract: Wasabi, rich in isothiocyanate, is a powerful antioxidant and has an antimicrobial effect. It protects DNA by trapping free radicals and increases the activity of other antioxidants.

Vitamin B3: Vitamin B3 (or PP) is a water-soluble vitamin belonging to the vitamin B group. It participates in numerous chemical reactions. It stimulates cellular renewal and the synthesis of keratin to improve the signs of aging. Besides, it has a stabilizing effect on the epidermal barrier: it reduces insensible water loss and increases the hydration rate in the corneal layer. Its antioxidant properties also protect the skin from photoaging.

White Tea Leaf Extract: White tea leaf extract, rich in polyphenols and oligomeric proanthocyanidins, enhances the complexion. It helps reduce skin blemishes (pigmentation marks, redness, diffuse or otherwise, and micro vascularization), caused notably by an attack on the skin by environmental factors, by inhibiting angiogenesis, protecting against free radicals, and limiting inflammatory reactions. It provides an overall solution to dull complexions to restore the skin’s radiance, freshness, and vitality. Thanks to its action on angiogenesis and inflammatory reactions, white tea leaf extract is also particularly efficient in combating the effects of rosacea. Finally, its antioxidant properties protect the skin from oxidative stress, preventing premature cutaneous aging.

Royal Jelly: Royal jelly is secreted by nurse bees to feed the larvae within the colony. It is rich in nutrients (sugars, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals), giving it outstanding revitalizing and replenishing properties. As a result, it promotes cellular renewal and the synthesis of collagen to preserve the firmness of the tissue. In addition, its antioxidant action protects the skin against cutaneous aging while boosting the radiance of the complexion.
